My dog is always ready to party – even if it is a party with just the two of us, but this time, he is really excited, because we are inviting our Best Friends with Dogs over to drink wine and practice our skills as future sommeliers by doing a blind wine tasting, while the PupGuests eat Cheese Bone PupTreats.

The PupTreat – Cheese Bones, a Gourmet Dog Treat
Ingredients
- 4 cups of flour
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup of oil
- 1 egg
- 1 ¼ cups of water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 250°.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine flour and cheese.
- Add the oil, egg, and water.
- If needed, add more water until you have a stiff dough.
- Mix for 3 minutes.
- Roll the dough out on a floured cutting board to ½ inch thick.
- Cut bone shaped treats with a cookie cutter.
- Place on cookie sheet.
- Bake for 2-2 ½ hours until dry and crunchy.
- Cool on the pan.
- The treats can be stored for a week.
Evenings spent with my dog – and my friends – are the ones that count.
