Z and I celebrated our 4th birthday with a fabulous party at my new house in Kennebunk, Maine! Over the next few days, I will share with you the details so you can plan a pawsome birthday party for your cat. You can see me standing next to a perfect bag that held some of my special birthday presents — and it captures the theme of the new “Make a Wish” cocktail party kit that will be released very soon — our newest Posh Party Kit. In this blog, I will tell you how to create adorable party invitations and plan your party flowers.
You can make the cutest, personalized invitations by buying a plain colored card to match your party theme colors like the hot pink I picked. Then you find birthday stickers at a craft store like Michaels and arrange them on the front of the card (picture 1) and inside (picture 2). Susan inserted a picture of Z and me as babies from the adoption party invitation she sent out 4 years ago — and then she handwrote the details of the party.
Here is another version of the invitation using different stickers. So cute! Susan bought way too many stickers when she was shopping as they were all so irresistible.
Flowers are always necessary at a birthday party for a girl but fancy, expensive arrangements don’t fit my casually elegant party style. Susan ordered two of our favorite flowers – hyacinth and lisianthus — from Fleurant in Kennebunkport, and we made our own cute arrangements. As you can see, purple flowers are my fave!
I’ll be back in a couple of days with all the details on the party food – and most importantly, the delicious party cupcakes!
